Join us at Yeovil Library during SuperSaturday, the one-day event bringing together a variety of cultural and art activities to the town. Create your own electronic device using components and a soldering iron. This brand new workshop lead by Stephen Ives from Eastville Project Space, introduces a combination of electronics, art and music to the public of Yeovil. No previous soldering experience is required. Suitable for age 10 and above.
Participants can choose to make one of the followings:
Solar Flower Light
A cute solar powered light, which looks great and is useful in the dark. The flower shaped PCB (Printed Circuit Board) has exposed traces which are illuminated by different coloured LEDs in low light. An ideal project for beginners and young people aged 10 and above.
Atari Punk Console
A cute little stand-alone synthesiser with built-in amp and speaker for portable noise-goodness, that makes a great basis for other synth projects. An ideal project for beginners and young people, or those who love to make noise!
Saturday 23rd SEPTEMBER, anytime between 10am – 1pm.
It will take approximately 45 minutes to make, dependent on experience. Participants under 13 need to be accompanied by an adult.
