Pupils from Bucklers Mead Academy worked with Eastville Project Space artists, Fiona Winning, Lisa Cheung and Sammy Delgado Escobar on the Let’s Build project during half term.
The final project will be housed in the Quedam Shopping Centre, Yeovil and open to the public. Students are pictured with the artists and participants modelling aprons made in Fiona’s Food Glorious Food Workshops. https://eastvilleproject.org.uk/2017/11/16/food-glorious-food
One of the students expressed:
‘I was given opportunity to take part in the workshop; I got to understand the idea behind the design, how they created the design and how it was built, unfortunately, I wasn’t allowed to use power tools for health and safety reasons, but helping with measurements, preparation and finishing were just as important, I was also involved in the discussion of how to make the leg stands for the units, it was great fun and a great experience which I enjoyed.’
